The Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum, is located in the heart of Beijing, China. It served as the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties and is one of the largest and best-preserved ancient wooden architectural complexes in the world. Construction began in 1406 and took 14 years to complete, housing 24 emperors over its history. Covering approximately 720,000 square meters, the Forbidden City contains over 9,000 rooms and is divided into the Outer Court and Inner Court.
The Golden Summit, towering at 3,099 meters, is the highest peak of Mount Emei, often called the "Stairway to Heaven."
